DP-203 Renewal exam for free

Great, you’re already a certified Azure Data Engineer… It’s valid for one year; about 6 months into your cert, you’ll be eligible to renew it for another year. You’ll get this email..

Key exam points - it’s:

• Free

• Open book

• No Proctoring

• With no exam time limit

• You need min 60% to pass

• I had 25 questions in my exam

Knowing that there is unlimited resits, I didn’t prepare at all…
The exam itself took me about 40 min – Then I got the good news…

The next screen will show your results. I got 88%, which is 22 out of 25 correct.

A few minutes after passing you’ll get this automated email from Microsoft – Congratulating you and confirming the length of your renewal.

Sidenote: I got 4 questions on Purview, which I have never used (only read about)…. so, got some of them wrong.

Take away: Don’t worry about not passing the first time. Remember it’s open book with no time limit - Microsoft want you to pass.
